Locked in a closet with the future
I still remember the tiny, dark room at the hospital.
No windows.
Just a humming word processor that no one knew how to use.
There was no Google. No YouTube. No “help desk.”
There was only a single automated training video and a clear expectation.
“Figure it out.”
So I did.
I stayed in that room until the screens made sense. I cursed, cried on the drive home, then went back the next day and kept going.
I was the executive assistant to the hospital president. Learning this “new computer thing” was optional on paper, but I knew better. It was a door to the future, and I was not waiting for someone to walk me through it.
That experience gave me my first real superpower.
I learned how to create my own future by mastering the systems no one else wanted to touch.
I have used that same skill set over and over again.
When my husband left two months after our second child was born and I needed to create income and flexibility as a single mom.
When I went back to corporate life for health insurance and led teams into the era of the public internet.
When I survived breast cancer and rebuilt my life and business, again, from a deeper place of purpose.
Every time, there was no manual.
So I built one.

Who I am Today
I am Debbi Starr.
Business strategist. Funnel and systems builder. Adjunct professor. Survivor. Mom.
I work with women entrepreneurs and creatives who are smart, capable, and tired of feeling behind.

What you do not have is someone in your corner who can see the whole picture, map the path, and stay with you as you take each step.
